Hey, I'm Sasha! A Copenhagen-based illustrator, graphic designer & surface pattern designer. My secret sauce? A life spent between Chinese and Danish cultures, which gives me a pretty unique take on colours and stories. When I'm not drawing, you can find me: Hunting for the next best meal, traveling for new sights & sceneries, giving private shower concerts, walking nowhere in nature & observing its beauty unfold, and embracing my talent for petting my cats' bellies without losing a hand. This deep appreciation for life's small, beautiful details is rooted in my own story.

My passion for colours and drawing has been with me since a young age. I faced early challenges in making friends when I moved to Denmark with my mother around the age of 7, primarily due to language barriers. However, I firmly believe in the universal language of art, one that transcends boundaries. Every time I pick up a pen to draw, it becomes my refuge, allowing me to effortlessly express my intricate emotional world through colours, lines, and shapes. I honed my skills by attending art classes at The Copenhagen Children’s School of Art for 10 years, exploring various art forms such as croquis, painting, sculpture, and comics. Following high school, I pursued fashion illustration and sewing courses at Fashion Design Akademiet. I have a BA in Textile Design & Handcraft/Communication.

Today, my primary medium is digital painting, allowing me to craft a unique style. I use illustrations as a means to capture the essence of people, events, and elements in my life. I enjoy observing intricate details and amplifying them through my distinctive, somewhat abstract strokes. I have a genuine passion for immersing myself in drawing because it fosters tremendous patience within me, and my sharp eye for detail allows me to explore the pursuit of perfection.

My mission is to enable my audience to see and cherish the often overlooked beauty in our daily lives. These subtle details are like hidden pockets of unexpected happiness, waiting to be discovered and appreciated once more.
I'm always open to commissions and collaborations, so please don't hesitate to get in touch with me via email or Instagram for any design projects or creative ventures. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me, and I wish you a fantastic day!
Yours,
Sasha
